What Makes a Tesbih Worth Owning?
\nA truly beautiful tesbih is one you reach for every single day. It sits in your palm with weight and warmth. The beads move through your fingers with a satisfying, unhurried ease. The cord does not fray after a fortnight. The colour does not fade with use.
\n\nThis is the standard we hold ourselves to at Luxury R Visible. Our tesbih are not souvenirs or decorative novelties โ they are tools of devotion, made to last and made to mean something. Each strand in our tasbih collection is assembled by hand, with genuine gemstone beads rather than resin or plastic imitations. The difference is immediately apparent when you hold one.
\n\nWhat Gemstones Are Used in Our Tesbih?
\nOur gemstone expertise is at the heart of everything we make. Every stone we work with is carefully sourced and assessed for quality before it ever becomes part of a finished piece. We look for consistent colour, smooth surface, correct hardness and a natural lustre that no dyed or synthetic bead can replicate.

What Is the Difference Between Tesbih, Tasbih, Tasbeeh, Mala and Komboli?
\nThese terms all describe variations of the same sacred object โ a strung set of beads used to count repetitions during prayer or meditation โ though each name carries its own cultural heritage.
\n\nTesbih is the Turkish spelling and pronunciation, widely used across Turkey, Central Asia and the broader Turkic world. Tasbih and tasbeeh are Arabic and South Asian transliterations of the same word, both deeply rooted in Islamic practice. The Arabic root โ tasbeeh โ literally means to glorify God, which is precisely what the beads are used for: counting repetitions of SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah and Allahu Akbar in sets of 33, completing a cycle of 99.
\n\nMala beads come from Hindu and Buddhist traditions and typically comprise 108 beads, used to count mantras during meditation. While the count and the prayer differ, the intention is strikingly similar โ slowing the mind, anchoring the breath, and returning attention to the sacred.
\n\nKomboli, sometimes called worry beads, are the Greek tradition โ a shorter strand used not necessarily for prayer but for mindfulness, focus and calm. The act of moving beads through the fingers has a universally soothing quality, which is why these traditions have independently developed across so many cultures.
\n\nAt Luxury R Visible, we honour all of these traditions. Our pieces are made with reverence for the spiritual lineages they belong to, and with craftsmanship that reflects the value of that intention.

How Do You Use Dhikr Beads in Daily Practice?
\nUsing dhikr beads is beautifully simple. Hold the tesbih in your right hand, beginning at the first bead after the imam bead โ the larger, elongated bead that marks the start and end of each cycle. Move through each bead with your thumb and index finger, reciting your chosen phrase with each count.
\n\nThe traditional sequence following salah (prayer) moves through three rounds of 33: SubhanAllah (Glory be to God), Alhamdulillah (All praise is due to God) and Allahu Akbar (God is the Greatest), completing at 99. Some traditions then conclude with La ilaha illallah Wahdahu la sharika lah to reach 100.
\n\nThere is no rigid rule that limits tesbih to formal prayer times. Many people find that holding their tasbih during moments of anxiety, quiet reflection or gratitude brings immediate grounding. The physical act of moving beads is itself a form of mindfulness โ one that has been practised across cultures for centuries and continues to offer genuine comfort.
